The Best of Both Worlds

Do you like Star Trek and show tunes? Go check my Livejournal.
San Diego Comicon was spectacular this year. Everyone with a good attitude seemed to do well. I almost sold out of a megaton of Pixel Socks!

(Licensed) Tetris for iPhone: First Impressions

Friday, July 11th, 2008

I sneak-installed the iPhone 2.0 software yesterday and did a little app shopping with 2% of the money I don’t have to spend on a 3G model. Touch-drag Tetris is a blast. Took a moment and a look at the instructions to figure out piece spinning, slide to speed-drop the active piece is really satisfying. [...]

She Dates Like She Plays Tetris

I love Tetris. Tetris is love. Previously, in Russian videogame comics cuteness.

San Diego and Hartford, Ho!

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Before I forget! Dumbrella and special pals MC Frontalot, Chris Yates, Scott McCloud and Wil Wheaton will be at the San Diego Comic-Con later this month. (rstevens, Jon R., Meredith, Andy and Sam) We’re at booth #1335, same spot as ever.

I’ll have [...]

Voicemail: Hours of My Life You Ain’t Getting

Regarding DS #2053: This piece on TechCrunch really hit home for me. My voicemail message has long been a variation on, “please don’t bother leaving a message. I don’t listen to them. Hope you didn’t block Caller ID.” I didn’t even bother with ‘em when I worked for the phone company! I was always pretty [...]

iPhone 3G: Going, Going, Gone?

Monday, July 7th, 2008

I’m with Electron Mike about the new iphone. I’m so dang satisfied with the little guy that I’m not sure I want to upgrade. That’s weird for me, silly electronic toys are (along with coffee) of my two greatest pleasures in life. The 2.0 software and installable application store are really exciting, though.
Do you have [...]

This R2 Unit Isn’t a Bad Motivational Speaker!

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

Regarding comic #2047: Yup, I know that Ben Burtt did the voices of R2-D2 and WALL-E. Didn’t realize I knew that until I finished writing the comic and went to work on the title. My old Bantha Tracks knowledge bubbles deep below the surface of my conscious mind.
