I had Dr. T-Shirt do up an *amazing* little run of fuschia Yarncore shirts. We've got these in stock as well! I'm not gonna lie, I did these mostly because I wanted another bright pink shirt.

Lastly! I'm bringing the current pixelated Canadian flag shirt to an end. You can scoop up the rest of the stock for only $13 while it lasts.

The first run of Invisible Giraffe shirts are in and shipping. (we're just waiting on womens XLs) People really, really, really liked this one, so I'm bringing it back as a permanent shirt!

I seriously, utterly, totally do not feel like flying. I hate the stress, the timing, the scowling, the x-rays. (on the last flight I took, they x-rayed my laptop so hard the flash drive cooked)

So! When faced by certain irradiation, one does what one must do as an American. One takes a land-based adventure! My current debate is between the flexibility of a solo road trip and the brainlessness of taking the train.

I love driving and have road tripped to SD twice before. Plusses: my own timetable, a quiet room every night, rest stops, last minute merchandise and book carrying power. Minuses: less safe, can't read a book while moving.

Amtrak calls to me for some strange reason. Plusses: no thinking, safer, can walk around the train all day, can read and use my 3G card, moves while sleeping. (And well, it's good enough for Joe Biden.) Minuses: on a schedule, possible delays, sharing tiny bathrooms and having no escape from sweaty humans.

I've never ridden Amtrak. My first extended train ride was the Eurostar from London to Paris, which reduced me to tears of mechanized joy. I'd love to hear about your experiences on trains and photos if possible!

Yes, I know flying is faster and cheaper. I never take a break and go anywhere, though. This is my treat and vacation before the hell of a big con.

2012 is almost upon us! This shirt's solar cycle ends Wednesday.

I've been wanting to post this shirt for a few solar cycles now. "Best Before December 21, 2012" may not be true if we wind up attaining cosmic enlightenment, but it'll be quite accurate if the world ends.

Xeni Jardin is in the rural Guatemalan highlands working with a nonprofit whose projects include a women's micro-economic development collective, and a potable water initiative with help from Engineers Without Borders.

It's a real cold part of the country so she brought along some extra socks I sent her a while back to give to the kids as gifts- hearts and clouds were popular but the kids natural instincts told them to be wary of killer robots. Kids are smart.

She almost got in trouble with local elders over the "naked lady" on the label but another of the kids pointed out the bathing suit and smoothed it over.

As rough as it's been in the more developed world lately, it doesn't hold a candle to being without clean water in a freezing mountain village. Take a moment to wish Xeni and her friends good luck. She's the most adventurous person I know and does stuff I can't even fathom doing.

Guatemala's been a scary place lately and she's also reporting a lot about it on BB and Twitter. I don't know if American TV is really covering the scandal and protests, but it's really worth following the situation down there. It's a lot closer to us than you'd think.

It's been just about seven years since I quit working for the man to draw comics and sell stuff on the internet. I would say that I was working for the man because it was a horrendously large corporation the likes of which Dilbert would be comfortable at, but I technically worked for a very nice lady.

I'm not sure when I posted the first comic in the spring of 2000, but I'll always remember Memorial Day Weekend 2002 as the first and only time I was excited about that holiday.

I make less money, work longer hours and have to pay for my own equipment… but I've never done anything this long without wanting to quit. Thanks again for all your support over the years! Let's make it an even decade.
