Why do I follow a few hundred people on Twitter? Intelligent background noise AKA something severely lacking when you work alone. Cats are a great audience but they lack cultural context.

Case in point: @debcha linked this blog post by Carrie Brownstein which led me to write this comic. Not a direct link, but a soup starter direct from a member of the last guitar rock band to captivate me without electronics or gimmicks.

Please indulge me in some blog posts where I talk about some of my favorite stuff that maybe you never noticed before we get too close to Christmas.

"Mom wouldn't let me get a tattoo" is probably my favorite t-shirt than nobody notices. Maybe it's a little too subtle. It's most hilarious on a person covered in ink, but equally fun to give to someone completely tattoo-less like myself. If you have a relative to get a laugh at the expense of this Christmas, may I humbly suggest this one.

Somebody once told me they think this one gets overlooked because tattooed people don't have a sense of humor. I'm not sure he ever met someone with a tattoo.

Robot Juice! Or as many people call it "the coffee with the power button thing." I wear this one almost as much as I drink coffee. I drink coffee almost as much as I breathe. You may be detecting some playful hyperbole here.

"Silent" shirts with drawings like this have taught me a strange lesson about selling stuff outside my comic audience. I don't usually give out advice on this kind of stuff, but here it is: the power of Google to help people find your t-shirts is not to be underestimated. Case in point: Bacon is a Vegetable. I like both shirts equally and they're about equally well-loved foodstuffs. But which one is the powerhouse? The searchable one.

You know how Andy's dream in the Shawshank Redemption was to escape to the beach in Mexico? Mine is to some day get a van and an espresso cart and slowwwwly travel North America making coffee for people.

Zaggy Starbucks is a shirt that I've been working on for over a year and my Christmas gift to myself. (Happy()Sad) Diagram is a masterstroke my friend Ariana made. And people keep asking for "Best Before December 21, 2012" shirts so I brought it back for the season.

Top it off with the half ton of fresh pixel squid and skull socks that just landed on my door step and you've got a party!

Have a spectamundo weekend. I've had a great week working outside my normal environs with Granulac and Professor Mr. Diaz. You wouldn't think fried pies would be a productivity enhancer, but they are.

Slightly autobiographical! I bought a pink hoodie due to extreme chilliness.

You all know how much I love making socks, but I'm still not over how amazing these ties look in person. Hope you like 'em! More photos to come.

Hooray! I'm catching up on everything after SPX, folding and shipping CSS Rules and Ghost of Trilogies Past shirts as we speak. There's still a few left from the first print runs. I think I'm going to keep the CSS shirt through Christmas, but today's the last day you can get it for $15.

Yay to being home! All my backordered and pre-ordered shirts came in while I was out of town. Looking forward to a week of folding, shipping, photographing and designing even more stuff for the fall.
